Select the <guibutton>Connections</guibutton> tab. Select the <option>Ethernet connection</option> interface from the list, then click the <guibutton>Properties</guibutton> button. Ensure that the button marked <guibutton>Enable this connection</guibutton> is checked. From the <guibutton>Configuration</guibutton> drop-list select <option>DHCP/Static IP address</option>, then click <guibutton>OK</guibutton>.
