There are many free and open source graphics and image editing applications available for <phrase>Kubuntu</phrase> such as <application>GIMP</application>, <application>Blender</application>, <application>InkScape</application>, and more. These applications are not part of a default <phrase>Kubuntu</phrase> installation. They can, however, be installed easily with the <application>Muon</application> package manager, which can be started by going to <menuchoice><guimenu>Kickoff Application Launcher</guimenu><guisubmenu>Computer</guisubmenu><guimenuitem>Muon Software Center</guimenuitem></menuchoice>. This topic is an introduction to common tasks in graphics editing applications, such as editing images, creating new images, saving your work, and so forth.
