The <emphasis role="strong">Colours</emphasis> box provides three types of background: <emphasis role="strong">Solid colour, Horizontal gradient</emphasis> and <emphasis role="strong">Vertical gradient</emphasis>. Select the desktop colour of your choice and then click the colour chip next to the <emphasis role="strong">Colours</emphasis> box. The <emphasis role="strong">Pick a Colour</emphasis> dialogue box opens.
