<p>Your files area is a repository for folders and files to use within your portfolio.</p>
<p>The number of files you may upload into your files area is dependant on your set file storage limit which is displayed in the quota box on the right of the screen.</p>

<h3>Profile Icons</h3>
<p>
The Profile Icons area allows you to upload images that will appear beside
your name in many places in the system.
</p>
<p>
You may have up to 5 icons in your Profile Icons area at once. Images you
upload need to be at least 16x16 pixels big. The images you upload count
towards your file quota.
</p>
<p>
Your default image will be shown to other people beside your name, and you
may use the other images in views you create.
</p>
<p>
<strong>Note:</strong> All of your profile icons are accessable by other
logged in users even if they are not currently your default, so delete them
if you do not want others to see them.

<h3>Site Files</h3>
<p>The Site Files area works in nearly the same way as the main site's My Files area. Files uploaded to this area are available to any logged in user and where placed in the 'public' folder, are available to any user with the correct URL.</p>

<p>In order to upload any file to your repository, you must comply and agree to the copyright notice.</p>

<h3>Quota</h3>
<p>You have been allocated a set amount of storage that you may use to upload files to the system. If you are getting close to your quota limit, talk to your teacher or administrator about having your limit increased.</p>

<h3>Tags</h3>
<p>You can add Tags to Artefacts and Views you create within Mahara. Tags allow you add descriptive labels to Artefacts and Views and create an index of Tag classifications.</p>
<p>To associate multiple Tags to an Artefact or View, separate each Tag entry with a comma. For example – ‘Assessment, Semester 2, Management’.</p>
<p>Clicking on <b>Show my tags</b> will generate a list of those Tags you have previously used within your portfolio and the number of times they have been entered. Clicking on an existing Tag will add it to the Tag list for the Artefact or View you are currently creating or editing.</p>
<p>Using <b>Search My Portfolio</b> you can find all of the Artefacts and Views you have associated with a particular Tag, thereby creating a filing system or index for your portfolio.</p>

<h3>Email address</h3>
<p>Although the email address given during registration is your primary contact address, you may have several email addresses listed on the site. Use any of your validated addresses in a profile.</p>
<p>To add new addresses, click <a onclick="email_new(); return false;" href="">Add email address</a>. When you save your profile a message is sent to the new address. Click the link in the message to validate.</p>
<p><strong>Note:</strong> The email link is only valid for 24 hours. After this you must repeat the process.</p>

<p>Tell everyone about yourself! This will be on your profile page and other people will see this introduction when you appear in their search results, so make it good!</p>
