There are many free and open source graphics and image editing applications available for Kubuntu such as <application>GIMP</application>, <application>Blender</application>, <application>InkScape</application> and more. These applications are not part of a default <phrase>Kubuntu</phrase> installation. However, they can be installed easily with the package manager <application>KpackageKit</application>.
