Angband is a single-player, text-based, dungeon simulation derived from the game Moria, which was in turn based on Rogue. It is often described as a "roguelike" game because the look and feel of the game is still quite similar to Rogue (though there are now graphical tiles available if you dislike ASCII gaming). Angband has been in more or less continuous development since the early 1990s.

Angband es una simulación de mazmorras basada en texto de un solo jugador derivada del juego Moria, que a su vez estaba basado en Rogue. Se describe a menudo como un juego «parecido a Rogue» porque el aspecto y la sensación del juego sigue siendo bastante similar a Rogue (aunque ahora hay gráficos disponibles si no le gustan los juegos ASCII). Angband ha estado en desarrollo más o menos continuo desde comienzo de los años 90.
